Alternating pressure air mattresses effectiveness in preventing pressure ulcer incidences
The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of alternating pressure air mattresses in preventing pressure ulcer incidences. The audience of this study includes organizational medical staff and administration (Ashcraft et al., 2020). The first audience of this study is nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals within the organization. Since the organizational support has invested in the program, they will have an interest in knowing the outcomes (Köhler & Nemeth, 2019). Another category of audience includes other healthcare facilities, the state associations of county and city health officials, hospital associations, caregiver groups, Federal agencies, researchers, students, and others.
The findings of this study will be disseminated both within the hospital and outside. Several strategies will be used to disseminate the findings. The three main methods of dissemination for this study include paper publication, poster, and panel presentations (Ashcraft et al., 2020). This study will be first presented to a panel of experts, which includes the nurses, physicians, the facility administration, state officials, professional associations, and others (Köhler & Nemeth, 2019). This type of dissemination strategy can be applied within the organization and outside the organization during professional conferences.
Besides panel presentations, posters are good tools for disseminating scientific research findings. Posters will be used to distribute a brief of the research work including results and recommendations to physician offices, nursing stations, wards, and other relevant places (Köhler & Nemeth, 2019). Posters will remain intact in specific places to act as daily reminders. They will be informing this particular concept of nursing care to prevent or reduce the incidences of pressure ulcers. Posters are preferred because they are accessible to many people of a particular audience.
Finally, yet importantly, dissemination will be conducted through publication in peer-reviewed journal articles. The findings of this study will be published in a peer-reviewed journal to ensure they are available to a broader spectrum of audiences (Köhler & Nemeth, 2019). The paper will be accessed free of charge to make the information available to all categories of researchers and interested parties.
